Dr. Adebola Sonoiki

DENTIST

Dr. Adebola Sonoiki is a 2016 graduate of the Gerald Niznick Faculty of Dentistry, University of Manitoba; she graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. Dr. Sonoiki also holds a second dental degree Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, which she obtained in 2007.
 
Dr. Sonoiki is a seasoned dental professional passionate about health and general wellness. She is the current principal dentist and owner of Kilcona Dental Centre and is committed to offering exemplary service to her patients.
 
Dr. Sonoiki is a mentor to University of Manitoba dental students through the Manitoba Dental Association. She also volunteers on one of the Manitoba Dental Foundation committees.
 
She is an avid reader and loves to write blog posts in her free time. She also enjoys cycling, swimming and travelling. She is happily married with two children.

What’s the most inspiring part of your job?
Having the privilege to play a role in solving problems and educating.

Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?
Oprah Winfrey

Flashback to when you were ten years old. What do you want to be when you grow up?
A lawyer, I come from a family of lawyers- dad, brothers, uncles, cousins etc.

Raman

DENTAL HYGIENIST

Ramandeep was born in India (Punjab) and came to Canada in 2016. She studied in Toronto, obtained her Dental Hygiene Diploma, and then moved to Winnipeg in 2020. 
 
When she’s not working, she’s always striving to learn new things.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Where my family is.

What is your favourite outdoor activity?
Cycling and working on my lawn.

If I won the lottery tomorrow…
I’d follow my dreams

Yanitsy

DENTAL ASSISTANT

Yanitsy was born and raised in Ciego de Ávila, Cuba and came to Canada in 2005. In 2008 she obtained her CDA at CDI college.
 
She has worked here at Kilcona Dental ever since. She is a vital part of our team as she is extremely hard working and develops a rapport with every patient she meets.
 
She loves spending time with her friends and family in her spare time and loves to dance.

What’s your favourite place in the world?
Wherever my family is.

What’s the most inspiring part of your job?
It is being able to help people and remove the fear. Every day is something new and different.

What is your personal motto?
Better safe than sorry!

Jade

DENTAL ASSISTANT

Jade is a recent graduate of CDI College with her National Level II Dental Assistant Certification. She is excited to grow and excel in her career in the dental field. On occasion you’ll even catch her greeting you at the reception desk.
 
In her spare time you can find her working at her home beauty business as a Lash Technician or going on new adventures with her friends.

If you can go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I’d love to visit Hawaii! Love to try the food and see the culture and scenery!

Whats your favourite outdoor activity?
Hiking and paddle boarding in the summer and ice skating in the winter.

What is your favourite family tradition?
Going to Minneapolis for a big family reunion every couple of years!

Priya

FRONT DESK ADMINISTRATOR

Priya is a Front Desk Administrator who was born in Punjab, India. She moved to Canada in 2019 after completing her Bachelors in Dentistry in 2018.

Priya also has a Healthcare Management diploma from Toronto. During her free time, she enjoys listening to music.

What is your favorite family tradition?
Celebrating all our festivals with lights, crackers, and colours while having a great time with our families.

What is the best concert you’ve ever attended?
Diljit Dosanjh’s concert in Winnipeg in 2022.

On Sunday mornings, can you usually find me…
I am currently relaxing in my bed with a warm cup of tea and enjoying my favourite breakfast.
