What Is The CDCP?
The goal of the CDCP is to ensure that Canadians can access quality dental care without worrying about cost. It covers a broad spectrum of services designed to maintain and improve oral health. Below, you will find detailed information about the plan and its specific benefits.

What Coverage Can I Receive?
Tier Coverage Level Adjusted Family Net Income:
Tier 1:
100% of CDCP fee guide Under $70,000
Tier 2:
60% of CDCP fee guide $70,000–$79,999
Tier 3:
40% of CDCP fee guide $80,000–$89,999
Note: Dentists may charge fees higher than the CDCP fee guide. Patients are responsible for paying the difference.
Who Qualifies For The CDCP?
Eligibility for the federal plan requires the following:
â—Ź Do not have access to private or employer dental insurance.
â—Ź Have a family net income under $90,000.
â—Ź Be a Canadian resident who filed a tax return the previous year.
â—Ź Members must re-enroll each year to maintain eligibility.

How to Apply For The Plan
Eligible patients can apply in one of two ways:
1. Online: Through the official My Service Canada portal.
2. By Phone: Call 1-833-537-4342 (TTY: 1-833-677-6262)
Once approved, Service Canada will verify your eligibility and share your information with Sun Life, the plan administrator.
Within about three months, you’ll receive a welcome package from Sun Life, which includes:
â—Ź Information about your plan.
â—Ź A CDCP member card.
â—Ź Your coverage start date.
â—Ź CDCP Coverage Levels.

Will the CDCP cover all my dental treatment costs?
The CDCP may not cover every dental expense – some treatments are only partially covered, and you may pay the difference between the CDCP fee guide and Kilcona Dental Centre’s standard fees. Are all services covered for every patient?
CDCP coverage varies depending on your household income and the specific dental procedure. Some treatments also require pre-approval before starting. Your CDCP enrollment must be renewed every year to keep your benefits active. How does billing work with the CDCP?
If you qualify for the plan, we will bill your services using the CDCP’s established fee schedule.
